The second surprise for the A&K guests was renowned polar explorer, Christian Walter. Having made multiple trips to the Arctic and Antarctic, Christian shared his extensive knowledge of the region. His passion for the remoteness, wildlife, and extreme conditions captivated his audience through his stories and lyrical description of the region. For one, the travelers we surveyed were younger than expected, with an average age of 35. Furthermore, a staggering 65% of them had already been to the continent at least once.
