August 27, 2023 A&K Shares Surprising Findings From Antarctica Guest Survey It may surprise you to learn that A&K, the renowned travel and tourism group, has conducted a survey in Antarctica, but the findings of this survey were even more unexpected. After carefully collecting responses from guests in the region, A&K has released a report of surprising results that could lead to better travel experiences in the future. Read on to find out more about the surprising findings that A&K discovered. 1. Uncovering the Unexpected: A&K Shares Surprising Insight from Antarctica Guest Survey At A&K, we are always looking to uncover unique insight to better understand the needs of our guests. Our Antarctica guest survey has uncovered something quite unexpected — a surprisingly positive attitude towards environmental conservation from the majority of our guests. 73% are increasingly conscious of environmental issues and have changed their travels to be more environmentally friendly 90% have said their Antarctica experience has increased their respect for nature 81% would use vacation time to volunteer abroad to help support environmental causes It appears that our guests have been deeply affected by their precious experience in Antarctica, and are further pushing the boundaries of travel and exploration to include activism and volunteerism. With such a high level of engagement, A&K now has a wealth of opportunity to further shape our travelers in helping protect not only Antarctica, but the world’s other sensitive environments. 2. Exploring the Vast Frozen Continent Through Survey Responses The frozen continent of Antarctica is a land of mystery and captivating beauty. Despite being covered in ice and snow most of the year, the continent is home to unique wildlife, some of which exist nowhere else in the world. To get a better understanding of the challenges and triumphs of Antarctica, we surveyed 50 people who’ve visited in the past. Here are some of the most interesting findings from the survey: The overwhelming majority of respondents (95%) said that they would encourage others to visit Antarctica, regardless of the potential difficulties. Most respondents found the most inspirational part of their trip to be observing the wildlife. Penguins were a favourite among the animal-lovers! Surprisingly, half of the surveys noted that the most difficult part of travelling to Antarctica was the long and uncomfortable flights required to get there. The survey also revealed that people found the experience of visiting Antarctica to be life-changing. Not only did they gain a greater appreciation for nature and respect for the environment, but many also found that the remote location fosters a sense of peace. 3. What Antarctica Guests Suspected — and What They Didn’t When tourists book their trips to Antarctica, they expect to see breathtakingly beautiful landscapes, to make memories of baby penguins, and to bask in the overall feeling of being on a continent far from anywhere. But many of these tourists also suspect that they might experience something beyond the visible-something that’s invisible to the eye. As it turns out, this is exactly what they get. To start, there are the sounds-the wind whipping through the snow-covered peaks, the muted murmur of the Antarctic sea, and the diverse chorus of animal chatter that can only be found down here. This is something many guests don’t expect before they make their journey, but it’s one of the most memorable experiences they come away with. Not to mention the vastness-the wide-open landscape, stretching as far as the eye can see, and the indescribable feeling of utter solitude while basking in it. What guests don’t expect, however, is the feeling that the Antarctic continent has a life of its own. While on the surface, many see the vast emptiness, what they don’t see is the complex wildlife community, all its intricatley-related inhabitants, and the greater power of the around it. There is a magic on this continent, something that can’t be seen, felt, or heard, but it’s something that stays with those who are fortunate enough to venture to the great southern continent. 4. A&K’s Astonishing Discovery in the Antarctic Wilderness The expedition to the Antarctic wilderness had many challenges, but A&K managed to uncover a remarkable discovery. While on their Antarctic trek, they located an old volcano that had gone dormant ages ago but was still partially active. They were fascinated by the sight and quickly made their move to explore the terrain. Upon further inspection, they discovered a lake of ice that was the perfect habitat for a rarely seen species of penguin. The creatures had adapted to the area, and their numbers had flourished in spite of the harsh environment. A&K were amazed at what they had stumbled upon. This particular species of penguin had been thought to be extinct until this moment. Knowing that their find was groundbreaking, A&K documented every detail, which included taking detailed images of the penguins. As they continued to observe the creatures, they saw that they were very friendly and even interacted with the expedition members. What they observed first-hand was an astonishing piece of natural beauty. The Discovery of a dormant volcano A hidden lake of ice Rarity of penguin species Friendly behaviour of the creatures From the data found in the Antarctica Guest Survey, A&K’s insights have given business travelers, nature lovers, and travelers of all types important information about the traveler demographic in Antarctica. Take a moment to appreciate the wildness and wonders of the icy continent– you might even find something truly unexpected. Share this:TwitterFacebookLike this:Like Loading...
