During COVID, dalgona coffee had a moment. People started whipping instant coffee at home to make a creamy beverage. Over the last few years, pistachio became trendy, and pairings with matcha, coffee, and chocolate caused a shortage. TikTok still keeps finding beverages from around the world, turning them into internet sensations, and travelers add them to their menu wish lists. Though fall is just around the corner, it’s still scorching hot in many spots throughout the U.S. So take one last sip of summer, and get a taste of these viral drinks on your next holiday—or try them at home for inspiration.

Banana Milk Coffee
A drink from South Korea, banana milk coffee, or locally called ttungba latte, is the latest trend-setter. Travelers are filming themselves mixing banana-flavored milk with a shot of espresso or black coffee over ice. The secret is to use Binggrae Banana Flavored Milk, which is sold in convenience stores, and if you’re in Korea, you can a final concocted banana milk coffee at GS25 conveniences, which starting selling it after the craze took off. Celebrities like Hailey Bieber have also given it a thumbs up.

Spaghett
Spaghett was created in Baltimore in a bar called Wet City Brewing a decade ago. It’s become quite a sensation since, especially in the summer. It helps that it’s just so easy to make—Miller High Life, lemon juice, and Aperol. You can easily make it at home, or order it at a bar near you. But if you want to trace it back to where it started, book a flight to Baltimore and enjoy it at its place of origin. Wet City Brewing celebrates August 6 as Spaghett Day if you’re actually considering the outlandish idea.

Fridge Cigarette Espresso
Last year, Gen Z started calling Diet Coke a “fridge cigarette”. Rather than taking a smoke break, they’re now famously going for a “fridge cigarette” to take a breather in the middle of a stressful day. This transformed into a fridge cigarette drink, mixing Diet Coke with espresso and milk foam or cream. Save these for times you need an extra kick of caffeine on your long days of travels.

Dirty soda is not a new phenomenon. Mormons have been enjoying it for over two decades in Utah. But its recent virality can be attributed to the reality show, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and of course, TikTok. Dirty sodas are sodas with creamers or flavored syrups. You can make them easily at home using dirty soda mixes—just do a search on TikTok for recipes and personalize them according to your tastes. To drink the alcohol-free beverages that the Mormons love, you can pop into soda-shop like Swig or Sodalicious, which both have numerous locations in the U.S.

Raspberry Danish Latte
A small cafe in Minnesota gave away their trade secrets and in turn, made their drink go viral. Little Joy Coffee introduced a spring special this year, a raspberry danish latte with raspberry syrup, espresso, milk and cream cheese foam. The shop decided to share the recipe of the $8 drink for those who wanted to make it at home (not everyone can travel to the coffee shop, especially in this economy), and invited cafes around the world to steal the recipe and make it their own. The result? There are now 480 shops across the world with this coffee on their menu. The cafe also released a map for people to track them down because the beverage is an absolute hit. The hot summers have popularized another coffee hack. For a coffee slush, you can freeze cold break in a Ziploc bag, smash it once frozen, and then add to your glass with some milk.
